Every movement involves loading and exploding.
Every movement we go through involves loading and exploding. With each movement we stretch the muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, etc. This stretch is then followed by an elastic release of energy. The amount of energy released depends on our movement quality.
Imagine your body is one giant rubber band. We want to move in a way that allows us to stretch our rubber band taut, and launch it across the room.
Optimal movement pulls the rubber band back, and launches it across the room.
Sub-optimal movement drops it to the floor.
If our joints have quality movement they are able to load and explode from an optimal position. If our joints are limited, they aren't able to take full advantage of their elastic energy.
Are you taking full advantage of your rubber band?
